Terms of Use
Last updated: March 2026
1. Purpose
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the DAISY platform ("Service"), published by [Company Name], registered under number [Commercial Registration Number], with registered office at [Full Address], Lebanon ("Publisher").
By accessing the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms without reservation. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
DAISY is a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform designed exclusively for dietitian and nutrition professionals ("Dietitians"). It provides:
• Patient file management
• AI-assisted meal plan generation
• Progress and monitoring report generation
• Secure messaging between the Dietitian and their patients
• A patient web interface and, depending on the plan, a mobile application
DAISY is an assistance and automation tool. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose, and does not replace the clinical judgment of the healthcare professional.
3. Account creation and access
Access to the Service requires creating a personal account. You agree to provide accurate, complete information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activity performed from your account.
Use of the Service is reserved for professionals practising as dietitians or nutritionists. The Publisher reserves the right to suspend or delete any account that does not meet this requirement.
4. Free trial
A 14-day free trial is offered to all new users, with no payment method required. The trial is limited to 3 active patients and 3 monthly uses per AI feature.
At the end of the trial period, the account automatically switches to read-only mode. Data is not deleted. To continue using the Service, a paid subscription must be taken out.
5. Subscriptions and billing
The Service is offered as monthly or annual subscriptions (Pro, Expert, and Clinic plans). Current pricing is displayed on the Pricing page.
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS certified third-party payment provider. The Publisher stores no card data. You will receive an invoice by email at each renewal.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings, at no charge. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
6. Intellectual property
All elements of the Service (software, interfaces, content, trademarks, logos, algorithms) are the exclusive property of the Publisher or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Any reproduction, representation, modification, publication or adaptation, in whole or in part, without prior written authorisation from the Publisher, is strictly prohibited.
7. Personal data
The processing of personal data is governed by the DAISY Privacy Policy, accessible from the footer of the Service.
The Publisher acts as data processor for patient data entrusted by the Dietitian, and as data controller for Dietitian account data. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) compliant with international standards is available upon request at: support@daisy.app
8. Liability
The Publisher commits to using all reasonable means to ensure Service availability and data security. However, the Publisher shall not be liable for:
• Any indirect or consequential damages related to use or inability to use the Service
• The accuracy or relevance of AI-generated content — the Dietitian remains solely responsible for clinical validation of any plan or report
• Any interruption caused by external factors (third-party infrastructure, force majeure, malicious acts)
In any event, the Publisher's liability is limited to amounts actually received from the user in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the liability.
9. Suspension and termination
The Publisher reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service, with or without notice, in the event of breach of these Terms, fraudulent or abusive use, or non-payment.
Upon termination, data is retained for 30 days and then deleted. Users may request a data export before deletion by writing to: support@daisy.app
10. Amendments
The Publisher reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Amendments take effect upon publication on the Service. Users will be notified by email of any material change. Continued use of the Service after notification constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by Lebanese law, including Law No. 81 of 2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data.
In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable resolution within 30 days. Failing that, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Beirut, Lebanon, unless the parties agree to refer it to international arbitration.
For users residing in the European Union, mandatory rights conferred by European consumer law remain applicable.
